Terms of Use
Last updated: 11 July 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and ContentCam ("we", "us", "our"), an independent app built in Australia by a solo developer, and govern your use of the ContentCam mobile application on iOS and Android (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your personal or business content-creation use, in accordance with these Terms and the applicable app store terms (Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement, or Google Play's Terms of Service). You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, resell, or redistribute the App except as permitted by law.
Your content
The videos and other content you record with the App are yours. We claim no ownership over them. The App processes and stores your recordings entirely on your device (see our Privacy Policy) — we have no access to them and no backend server. You are solely responsible for your content and for ensuring you have the rights to record and use it.
Free and premium features
ContentCam offers a free tier and an optional Premium upgrade. Premium unlocks features such as 4K, 60fps, manual controls, the teleprompter, time-lapse, unlimited projects, and trim-on-export. The specific features included in each tier may change over time as the App evolves.
Purchases, subscriptions and auto-renewal
Premium is available as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual) or as a one-time "Lifetime" purchase. All payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) — we never see or store your payment details.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Free trial. Where a free trial is offered (currently on the annual plan for eligible new subscribers), it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before it ends. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in your device's store settings — Apple Account → Subscriptions on iOS, or the Google Play subscriptions centre on Android. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current period.
- Lifetime. The one-time Lifetime purchase grants access to Premium features for the useful life of the App on the platform where it was bought. It is not a subscription and does not auto-renew.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies. We do not process payments directly and cannot issue store refunds ourselves.
- Price changes. Prices may change; where required, the stores will notify you and, for subscriptions, seek your consent to a price increase before it takes effect.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App to create, store, or distribute content that is unlawful, or to use the App in a way that infringes others' rights or breaks any applicable law. You are responsible for complying with the laws and platform rules that apply to wherever you publish your videos.
Device capabilities
Some features depend on your device's hardware (for example 4K, 60fps, ultra-wide, manual sensor controls, or concurrent cameras). Where a feature isn't supported by your device, the App will indicate this. We do not guarantee that every feature will be available on every device.
Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recordings will never be lost due to device, storage, or operating-system issues. Keep copies of important footage.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of recordings, data, or profits, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes to the App and these Terms
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers and limitation of liability) will survive.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here affects mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
