Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 May 2026
ContentCam is built by an Australian solo developer for content creators who shoot both portrait and landscape video. The app is designed to collect no personal data, send no analytics, and require no account.
Data we collect
None. The app does not request, transmit, or store any personally identifiable information. There is no account, no login, no telemetry, no third-party SDKs.
Permissions
ContentCam requests three iOS permissions, all required for its core function:
- Camera — to record video.
- Microphone — to record audio with your video.
- Photo Library (add only) — to save your recorded videos to your Photos library. The app does not request read access to your existing photo library; it can only add new videos that you record in the app.
All three are explained in iOS's permission prompts. You can revoke them at any time in iOS Settings → ContentCam.
Data we don't collect
- We do not track you across apps or websites.
- We do not collect your location, contacts, calendar, browsing history, or any other personal data.
- We do not have access to your existing photo library — only the ability to add new videos that you record in the app.
Where your videos are stored
- Inside the app's sandboxed Documents directory until you delete them or uninstall the app.
- In your iOS Photos library when you choose to save a take from the in-app review screen. ContentCam does not delete videos from your Photos library; that's managed by you in the iOS Photos app.
Third-party services
None. ContentCam does not use any third-party SDKs, analytics services, ad networks, or backend servers. It is a fully on-device app.
Children
ContentCam is rated 4+ on the App Store and is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
