Privacy Policy

ContentCam is built by an Australian solo developer for content creators who shoot both portrait and landscape video. The app is designed to collect no personal data, send no analytics, and require no account.
Data we collect
None. The app does not request, transmit, or store any personally identifiable information. There is no account, no login, no telemetry, no third-party SDKs.
Permissions
ContentCam requests only the permissions required for its core function:
- Camera — to record video.
- Microphone — to record audio with your video.
- Saving videos to your device library (add only) — to save the videos you record into your device's photo/video library. On iOS this uses the add-only Photo Library permission; on Android, videos are written through the system media store. On both platforms the app can only add the videos you record — it never requests read access to your existing photos or videos. (On Android 9 and older, a legacy storage permission is used solely to save your recordings; it is not requested on Android 10 or newer.)
Each permission is explained in your device's system prompt. You can revoke them at any time in your device settings (iOS Settings → ContentCam, or Android Settings → Apps → ContentCam → Permissions).
Data we don't collect
- We do not track you across apps or websites.
- We do not collect your location, contacts, calendar, browsing history, or any other personal data.
- We do not have access to your existing photo library — only the ability to add new videos that you record in the app.
Where your videos are stored
- Inside the app's own private, sandboxed storage on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
- In your device's photo/video library (the iOS Photos library, or your Android gallery via the system media store) when you choose to save a take from the in-app review screen. ContentCam does not delete videos from your device library; that's managed by you in your Photos or Gallery app.
Third-party services
None. ContentCam does not use any third-party SDKs, analytics services, ad networks, or backend servers. It is a fully on-device app.
Purchases and subscriptions
ContentCam offers optional in-app purchases and subscriptions. All payments are processed by the platform's store — Apple through the App Store on iOS, or Google through Google Play on Android — and ContentCam never sees or stores your payment details. We receive only anonymised, aggregated sales data from Apple or Google (such as how many subscriptions were sold), never anything that identifies you. Your subscription is managed entirely through your Apple Account (iOS Settings) or your Google Play account (Play Store → Payments & subscriptions).
Children
ContentCam is rated for general audiences (4+ on the App Store; rated by the IARC for Google Play) and is suitable for general use. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
